Update 11 January 2024 - £10,000 raised in a month - thank you!

"Dear All

Apologies for this very late newsflash about crowdfunding for my judicial review of the GMC's decision to continue my suspension. I have been busy putting together the application to the High Court and this was submitted last week.

Thank you all so much for your generous response. I have tried to thank everybody individually who has contributed, but this doesn't work with the PayPal donations because they drop in with no contact details.

The request for funds went out before Christmas………… and to my absolute amazement and delight, we have exceeded £10,000. I cannot thank you all enough for your generosity. So many people have been so kind and that is immensely cheering.

It is my intention to pay the first £10K of costs myself. Of course, should I win my case then I can claim costs and return the generous donations that you have all made.

Should I lose the case, my barrister reckons that the final costs will lie between £20K and £30K. I think that I have a good case because the GMC hearing was so unfair in so many different ways.

As soon as I have a date for the High Court, I shall let you all know.

A million thanks to you all

Fingers crossed

Sarah"

Open Letter - December 2023

Dear All

At a GMC review hearing my suspension to practise medicine was extended for a further year – as you can see from the article below it was alleged that I was recommending “potentially lethal” doses of vitamin D and C together with my recommendations for ivermectin, magnesium, iodine and how wearing masks was ineffective and may actually worsen a covid 19 infection.

See Mail Online Reporting of the GMC Decision 23 November 2023

I supplied the GMC with a plethora of evidence supporting my case and arranged for 2 expert witnesses to give evidence. The GMC refused me permission to call expert witnesses and ignored the evidence bases on which I relied to defend my actions.

The GMC refused me permission to use the medical records that I held on the grounds that this would constitute a breach of DPA legislation. I called a further witness to demonstrate that this was unfair but again the GMC did not allow this witness to give evidence.

I have decided to Judicially Review the GMC’s determination. I wish to do this for the following reasons:

  • Establish a legal principle that the GMC cannot take NHS patient records without their knowledge or consent and without anonymising them (the GMC has been doing this for decades).
  • Establish a legal precedent that doctors have a right to freedom of clinical opinion so long as that reaches the standard of a responsible body of medical opinion. It appears that failure to follow the government narrative puts one at risk of GMC investigation.
  • Establish a legal principle that doctors have a right to call witnesses at a GMC hearing.
  • Establish a legal principle that doctors have a right to be judged by their peers (the GMC witnesses had no qualifications or expertise in naturopathic medicine). Establish a legal principle that the GMC does not have jurisdiction over doctors practising naturopathic medicine.

To do such I have employed a barrister to represent me. I shall crowd fund myself in order to save the 8% commission that is usually charged on crowd fund websites. The way I shall do this transparently is to open a bank account in my name and publish regular updates on my website [this page].

Should you choose to donate, please send me your email contact details [to office@doctormyhill.co.uk ] so that I can thank you personally and keep you informed as to how monies are employed.

It has been estimated that my legal fees will be approx. £30,000. I shall pay the first £10,000 of this - so I shall need a further £20,000.

If I win my case, then I shall return substantial donations to the donor. Any excess monies I will use to fund a monthly zoom session that will be free to all – each one will be a subject followed by Qs and A’s at which I will speak and invite guest speakers.

How to donate
